Obtain Cheaper Home Insurance By Using An Insurance Comparison Website

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Have you ever used an insurance comparison website? I would guess that the majority of the readers of this article will have answered yes to this question. I absolutely love them. Why do I think this? Because I have managed to save a lot of money by using these types of sites over the last couple of years. In this article I will be describing about the way in which I use them.

Just before I continue I would like to make it clear that I am not an insurance salesman or a financial adviser. I actually run stuttering therapy courses here in the UK and I am also involved in a company that offers an affordable DVD authoring service.

I am going to write about a recent example of when I managed to save seventy pounds on my home insurance. I received the renewal notice in the post at the start of June for my buildings and contents insurance. The amount that they were quoting me was slightly higher than last year but I suppose you have to accept this.

I knew what I was going to do, in any case, whatever the premium had shown; I was going to put in my relevant details into one or two of the insurance comparison websites. I duly did this and low and behold there were three companies who were able to beat my renewal premium. The cheapest quote was a fully sixty pounds cheaper for the same level of cover.

This was not exactly a surprise to me as I have had similar successes on numerous previous occasions. So did I go ahead and take up this lower quote? No. Why not? Well I decided to give my current insurer a chance to out bid them! I phoned them and said:

“I have received your home insurance renewal quote but have managed to obtain a better quote by using one of those comparison sites. It was substantially lower that the price that your company has quoted. I am phoning you as I would rather keep the insurance with your company as I have been very impressed with the level of customer service that I have received. Are you able to beat or possibly match their premium?”

Guess what? They did match it – how cool is that? I was rather impressed with myself, the result and of course the comparison website.

Now I have decided to instruct a firm of cost reduction in a quest to save even more money.

General Business Liability Insurance – Protection Every Business Needs

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

There will be a bunch of varying kinds of insurance a company should spend some money on and commercial liability coverage is among the most crucial. A business gets this kind of liability insurance for business coverage for protection against being sued. As a company owner, your company will be held responsible if anyone is hurt any time they are on your property or whilst using your company’s products. The hurt party, or parties, may file a lawsuit to recoup their medical expenses and any and all work lost. It likewise protects the company should a business deal goes wrong and the other person wants to sue for compensation.

Liability coverage can be included as part of an entire insurance bundle that also includes additional property coverage. Most insurance companies allow for a discount on general liability insurance for small business should you choose to purchase other types of insurance through their company. The quantity of insurance that your company will need varies depending on what kind of business you have and what state the company is located.

For example, a merchandising business will possibly require additional liability coverage than a product manufacturing company, which might require business product liability insurance. This is because all persons which walk in the door is a potential for a lawsuit. If the only individuals who spend a significant amount of time at your business are the workers, the company may not need to hold as much insurance.

Check with the business’s respective region to find out how much insurance you’re required to carry. Some make it very easy for the hurt worker to make a claim against your business and win! Should your business be located in one of those states, you will probably want to hold more insurance.

It’s vitally important that your company carries business liability coverage. Without it, you are at high a risk of your business going under because of a lawsuit. Speak to the company insurance broker because the broker should be able to help you decide just what amount of coverage the business needs to defend your company in the event of a lawsuit.

What is Best? – Long Term Care Insurance

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Long-Term Care Insurance

If you get sick and your regular health insurance can’t cover your expenses, what should you do? Below are three good options along with some pointers and explanations. If any of these types of supplemental policies have had positive (or negative) effects for you and your loved ones, we’d love to hear your story. Long-term Disability Insurance (LTDI) is for working individuals younger than 65.

Some financial planners propose that LTDI is your best bet as it will protect your income if you are unable to work for a period of time. LTDI is also sometimes referred to as income protection insurance. With this kind of policy you must be unable to perform your normal occupational duties in your work environment. These policies are created for people who are actively working;although those in risky jobs may find that they are undesirable to insurance companies. If a covered disability occurs, then a specified monthly benefit is paid to you for a finite period of time (typically no more than two years).

The answer to this question has to do with how insurance functions. Think of insurance as a pool of money into which different parties have made deposits. These funds can then be used to pay for the financial losses of individual depositors who have had to make a claim due to unforeseen circumstances. In the case of long-term care, the funds could be used to pay for custodial care for the individual policyholders who develop a need for this type of care.

This type of insurance stems from the idea that as you age you may need assistance with anything from the activities of daily living (e.g., dressing or bathing) to skilled nursing care;and that in-home caregivers and care facilities are not affordable for many of us. Furthermore, many worry about draining their personal financial resources, resulting in an inability to leave an inheritance for their loved ones, or even support themselves at all.

How are long-term care insurance premiums calculated?

To manage the payout risk, each insurance carrier employs underwriting procedures to make sure that applicants with high-risk medical histories are not allowed into the insurance pool, which would thereby drive up the cost for everyone else. Obviously, while the risk taken by the insurer directly informs the premium rates that policyholders must pay, there are different levels of risk which are reflected the different premium rates. This is essentially how a long-term care insurance company determines the premium rate that you will pay, which I will discuss further in a future article.

With a critical care insurance plan, the beneficiary can decide where his/her benefits will do the most good;whether it goes toward skilled nursing care in the home, or lost wages for family caregivers, or other expenses of daily living that are difficult to meet when one is financially disabled. As the policy only pays once, it has some advantages and disadvantages; while you are responsible for managing the funds sufficiently, a large payment can ensure that debt isn’t allowed to accrue.

What You Need to Know – Personal Property Insurance

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Personal Property Certified Appraisals-Father Time Auction Service St Louis MO

Homeowner’s insurance policies are based on the value of the structure. It’s quite simple to determine what the amount should be for the structure. But how do you know if your contents are properly insured?.

This particular type of coverage is actually part of your home or renters insurance policy. That is, if you opted for it when you were signing up. It can offer you protection on any items in the home that are not permanently fixed to the establishment. This would mean things such as electronics, books, clothing, and appliances. The majority of carriers cover up to forty percent of the amount that you have on the actual residence itself.

However, there is something you should be aware of. Coverage is still limited further on certain types of valuables. Anything like expensive jewelry, watches, furs, firearms, and other hard to replace objects have limits. Everything like that combined is only covered up to one thousand dollars in a standard contract. This is mainly to encourage people to buy extra coverage, which you would obviously want to do if you bought more fine items.

A signed, sworn proof of loss will need to be submitted within 60 days after the insurance company’s request. The proof of loss will state the time and cause of the loss, other insurance that may cover the loss, the inventory of the personal property.

Your next step is to work out an estimate of what everything is worth. This is in terms of replacement costs. Some items lose their value over time, and some actually gain more. Anything that could be collectible would appreciate, while items like clothing would depreciate. Make yourself a file for this list, and then make additions such as sales receipts, pictures or video, and serial numbers.

Do you have a lot of high-end electronics, expensive furniture or other household items that add up to more than your current policy? It might be in your best interest to purchase additional coverage.

If you have a large amount of jewelry, guns, collectibles, etc., you will want to purchase riders for those special items.

The cost of additional insurance is minimal compared to your potential loss. And if you haven’t experienced a disaster after years of paying premiums, you can be thankful for your good fortune. The value of peace of mind cannot have a dollar sign attached to it.

How to Protect Your Personal Property – Best Renters Insurance

How To Buy Homeowners Insurance

If you’re entering the real estate market and looking to buy a home you are also going to have to look into buying homeowners insurance. If you’re borrowing money to pay for a new home there is a very strong chance that your lender requires that you insure your home or they will not lend you the money. Whether you are a new home buyer looking to obtain coverage for the first time or you are a longtime homeowner looking to get a better deal on your coverage you may want to look into some homeowners insurance company ratings to help you make your decision.

A third aspect of homeowner’s insurance is personal liability coverage. This simply means if someone is injured on your property and you are held legally liable for the injury, the insurance company provides coverage to pay the amount of the judgment. Or it might be a case of you damaging property belonging to your neighbors; your homeowner’s policy would cover that as well.

In addition to the financial stability of the company you choose to go with you may want to look into some other things such as consumer reviews and the company’s customer service record. There are a number of places that you can go to find homeowners insurance company ratings so that you can make an informed decision.

Some of these places include:

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners – The NAIC has a website at – naic.org where you can select your state and be redirected to your state’s Department of Insurance website. Your state’s website will have a lot of information about any insurance providers operating in your state. The information will include things like a list of licensed agents and any complaints that may have been filed against the company.

For renters, protecting personal property and being able to pay liability claims are the two main benefits of a renter’s insurance policy. Many people do not realize how much it would cost to replace all their personal property. For a relatively modest premium, they can have this protection in place. You should maintain an up-to-date inventory of your personal property in a safe place such as a lockbox at the bank. This is particularly true if you have some unusually valuable pieces of furniture, for example, or jewelry of significant value.

The price vary from one insurance company to another. The first thing you have to do is to compare their policies and their prices by going through their websites.

By getting different quotes from different insurance companies, you are definitely on your way to get the best renters insurance.

AXA annuities are designed to keep you from outliving your money. They offer the potential to receive guaranteed income during your retirement and payments for as long as you live. AXA annuities allow your investment to grow, tax deferred, and they can even provide your heirs with a death benefit. AXA offers three kinds of annuity plans: fixed annuities, immediate annuities, and variable annuities.

You might think you’ll be throwing money away on your leads, as it is true that of ten that you buy, you’re probably only going to make actual sales on about two of them. However, you might be surprised how affordable they are. Those ten will only come up to around $500.

Better yet, using these types of annuity insurance leads online ensures that the people you contact are already interested in buying, and so the sales you make will be huge compared to what you had to spend. Expect to make a profit of around $15,500 on the two sales, even with the $500 taken awayFixed AXA Annuities:

The major features of a fixed annuity from AXA include tax-deferred asset growth; guaranteed principal, so your assets are not impacted by market movements; guaranteed interest and renewal rates, and benefits to spouses or other designated beneficiaries upon your death. Fixed annuities are a good choice for individuals who want safe and stabile income after they retire. With AXA’s Guaranteed Growth Annuity, it’s possible to withdraw up to ten percent of your account’s value every year without paying surrender charges.

Returning to the subject of potential scams, know that if you’re smart enough in what you do, you really don’t need to worry about a thing. It’s easy to do the research you need on wherever you decide to buy your leads from. You will need to keep an eye out to make your leads exclusive.

Variable AXA Annuities:

Variable annuities provide the greatest potential for asset growth, since they are invested in a range of market products. They offer tax-deferred asset accumulation and potentially higher future income than other annuities, but with a larger degree of risk.

AXA offers the Accumulator Series of products, which provide innovative benefits for income and withdrawal along with a wide choice of investment options, and the EQUI-VEST Series, which is designed to provide enhanced growth opportunities while protecting your money from market volatility at the same time.

Before I present to you my portfolio of my favourite online tools that are sure to assist you to operate remotely, I should alert you to one more item connected with self discipline and especially to do with keeping your focus and powers of concentration

I’ve spotted and confirmed a common trait in contacts who work online and I’ve been in contact with for a substantial period and I call this behavior the fifty min effect. I observed these members of both sexes who concentrate and work for 50 mins. and then take a complete 10 minute rest and are a significant order of magnitude more efficient and generate a much higher quality of work than friends who don’t have structured working practises.

OK as promised here is my list of favourite remote working web applications:

E-Mail

Google Mail doesn’t cost anything. In my experience the search & label (categories) mechanisms are second to none. So far the only gripe I have is that it runs a bit slow on not so new PC’s

Phone calls

Skype
used to infuriate me as the service stability was unacceptable, but hats off for the coders at Skype now as they have really improved the quality of the service. For meagre amount of money a quarter they enable me to call and conference in any handset and Skype subscriber on Earth. The latest version of Skype has a wealth of really good features and there is an ever growing list of useful add ons.

Organising Content

Evernote
has secured over a million users in no time at all – it enables you to store, organise and annotate any species of digital content on the web. Just go check it out…it’s free.

Invoicing, Time and Expenses capture, Accounting and CRM

You definitely know that my urge to work remotely was originally sparked off by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software system. But it is no match for the free edition of salesorder.com – a lead to cash system that’s as easy to use as a fork I looked at NetSuite whose pricing (and people) scared me off. My choice here is salesorder.com – Go check it out.

Vehicle insurance explained

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

In today’s’ times, with all the modern and easy ways that lay at the consumers fingertips, auto insurance is a very competitive field. You want to make sure that you choose wisely, as owning and operating a vehicle does place you in the position to be exposed to fire, theft, damage, and loss of property. A traffic accident can occur at any given time and can lead to damage, injuries and/or total loss.

The purpose of car insurance is to protect drivers and/or their property, including the vehicle itself, in the case of damage. Third-party coverage protects a driver who is at fault in an accident. This type of insurance will pay at least some of the medical costs for an injured victim, and/or pay for damage to his/her property. It does not cover damage or claims for the driver who caused the accident. Comprehensive coverage, on the other hand, will cover damage caused by another driver, as well as damage arising from circumstance alone, such as from fire, theft, or non-collision accident. In the United Kingdom, the minimum insurance requirement for licensed drivers is Third Party Only coverage.

Voluntary balance – the easiest way to cut your allowance premiums is to acquire college autonomous excess. An insurer’s accepted balance may be £100; but if you accommodated the aboriginal £250 of any claim, you’ll see an abridgement in your car insurance premium. This is artlessly because you are added of the accident so you get abatement by your allowance company.

You can reduce your insurance premium by installing security devices. Most insurers recommend Thatcham rated security devices, and recommend installing at least a car alarm system. Extra items such as a steering lock will save you money, especially if you live in an area known for car thefts.

Your insurance policy premiums may be impacted by the addition of other drivers. A driver’s age, sex, and driving record will determine the positive or negative effect. A negative effect would be a young driver with little driving experience or one with several points. On the other hand, a female, over the age of 30, with a good driving history will positively impact insurance premiums.

Some insurance companies will give you a discount if your annual mileage is 5,000 or less. Check with your insurance companies to see if they offer this kind of discount. Some will give you a discount if you ask for it, but they don’t offer it in general.

Shopping around has become far easier thanks to the Internet, and has resulted in big savings for the customer. The same driver can now choose from a wide range of insurance quotes from a variety of companies.

How To Save Cash On Your Auto Insurance

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

In the current financial turmoil the majority of people are looking to cut costs and save some cash. There has never been a better time to save money on your various insurance renewals. In this article I will be explaining about the ways in which you can ensure you make these savings.

For the purposes of this article I will be writing about people’s annual car insurance renewal – mainly because I have just had to renew my own auto insurance.

I am not an insurance specialist in fact I am just a regular guy from the UK who is involved in web promotion, offering people cheap calls and stuttering therapy.

My annual renewal notice arrived in the post around two weeks ago. I was quite happy with the premium but I of course thought it was prudent to try to obtain an even lower price.

In an attempt to find a lower quote I went online to use a car insurance comparison website. The lowest price came out at £20 lower than what I had been quoted.

I then telephoned the company that I was already with and therefore the car insurance company that had sent me the renewal notice and told them that I had used a car insurance comparison site and that I had managed to obtain a quote that was £40 lower than what they had quoted. I asked them if they could offer me a cheaper quote than they had previously.

I went in with a lower price than what I had actually received as I knew they were never going to offer me the full reduction. They did come back with a lower premium that was in fact £30 off their original renewal price. Oh yes I felt so proud of myself!

I hope these tips help you in the same way that they have worked for me, please let me know how you get on. You never know those extra pounds that you save could help you to start saving towards a new car or perhaps a holiday – every penny counts, as they say – especially in a recession.
