No one should have to be their own dentist or be without any dental insurance plan . I’m 52 years old and this is my story. Two years ago I had an abcess tooth. I had no insurance and no job. I was also living in pain. I began to have head aches and the infection had spread from my mouth to my right eye. My right side of my face was already swollen. So I finally decided it was time to call the dentist and make that appointment.

The dental bill was to be $240 that I did not have to spare. This was just to have a tooth pulled. I was in agonizing pian and was not sure if I could wait the 5 days to see the Dentist. Also I didn’t have the money and didn’t now anyone who would lend me that kind of money on such short notice. So I sat there and cried in pain. Well I got my nerve up and decided to pull my tooth myself. I tied a string on it just like I used to do with my own children when they were little. I almost passed out after the first pull because of the incredible pain on the side of my face. I sobbed and sobbed. I held that string to my chest and prayed. Finally the Tooth was being eased out. By then it easily came out with no dental pain at all. After a consultation with the Dentist I realized I had been in potentially fatal situation.
