sage software

I have been frustrated for along period with my accounting and I wanted to share with you a shortcut that I uncovered after a lot of trial and error. Everyone who creates or runs a business has ’higher priority’ tasks to perform than spend time on their accounting. All businesses have to pay special attention to their accounting if they want to avoid issues.

When I initially began my bookkeeper suggested or should I say insisted that I used a small business accounting software package sold by a corporation called Sage Software. Without even seeing the software I blindly went ahead and bought the cheapest version I could find. This was arguably one of the worst mistakes I made as the software turned out to be really difficult to comprehend and use. OK my first piece of advice is that whenever you see the words accounting software proceed carefully as it probably means the designer is assuming you understand a substantial amount about accounting.

Just like me small business owners understand their craft and what they sell and not accounting but in my situation I was driven to allocate time to finding a system that would work for me. The great news is I found a really good answer, it’s an online system called salesorder.com.

Definitely the best application I have come across, salesorder.com works on the web and is really well designed and of course lets me work anywhere I can connect to the Internet. And here is the best bit I want to tell you, the team at salesorder.com know their stuff, just like their application they are easy to work with and better still are happy to spend quality time with their users (even the free ones) helping people like me to understand and address real problems in my company and to top it off they have coached me in the accounting I need to know.

sage software online

You might have heard of SAP software. It’s a software package used by thousands of medium sized and major corporations all over the world. The purpose of the package is to ‘wire’ the entire company together and let hundreds and often thousands of staff members to record, share and view knowledge concerning the physical and financial processes of the company. Successful firms are run by intelligent people who appreciate the strategic value of this type of software, such as how it can give them an appreciation of why problems are happening inside their firm or where there might be opportunity for improvements.

This category of package is commonly known as ERP. It is very complicated, very costly and can take months and often years to implement. An installation of ERP software can cost ten’s of millions of dollars but this doesn’t prevent substantial enterprises investing in these applications.

Until a few months ago software similar to this was not available or affordable for tiny companies. As a result tiny enterprises have not been aware of the substantial benefits that ERP systems can offer. Small enterprises have been wrongly convinced by predatory manufacturers like Sage Software and Intuit that small business accounting software is the answer. These applications most often have no capacity to enable their owners to join together the whole enterprise or do basic tasks such as customer relationship management.

The achievements of Web based CRM software from vendors like Salesforce.com is a damning testimony of the small business accounting software organisations misleading or misunderstanding the small business community.

It is for this reason that small business ERP businesses like Salesorder.com have started to make great strides in the market. They deliver software as a service which includes all of the specific features a small company needs at very low cost. What is even more interesting is these systems are a cinch to use and can be rolled out in a short amount of time.

Now ERP applications are no longer the privilege of big vendors.
